Intro to Sewing - kids Camp
Looking for exciting activities for your young ones while they foster new skills?
In this summer camp they will learn essential foundations for their sewing journey. From threading and bobbin winding, to mastering basic stitches. They will gain the confidence needed to sew projects that are both fun and practical. Kids will create items that they can use and treasure.

Kids Fashion Camp - Summer Dress
Welcome to our Fashion Sewing Camp! kids will learn the basics of sewing and how to create their own summer dress. This camp will teach kids to sew with confidence, creativity, and skill. Campers should have basic sewing experience (similar to sewing 101, a sewing workshop, or an after school session.)
Goals of the camp:
- Introduce kids to the basics of sewing, including tools and techniques.
- Teach kids to follow simple patterns and instructions.
- Build confidence in sewing through hands-on, beginner-friendly projects.
Students will bring the fabric needed for the project. Other supplies will be provided.

Kids Fashion - Bentonville Fashion Week
This exciting sewing class is designed especially for kids who dream of seeing their creations on the runway at Bentonville Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026!
Perfect for beginners and young creatives. The class introduces essential sewing skills while encouraging imagination, confidence, and personal style. Each participant will work on creating their own original piece, guided step-by-step by experienced instructors.
By the end of the program, students will have a finished garment and the opportunity to prepare for participation in Bentonville Fashion Week.
Whether your child is just starting out or already loves fashion, this class offers a fun, supportive environment where creativity shines and big dreams begin.
Students will bring the fabric needed for the project. Other supplies will be provided.
Prerequisite for Fashion Camp Participation
To ensure every child feels confident and ready to create their design for Bentonville Fashion Week, we kindly ask that participants complete one of the following before joining the camp:
- Attend our May Weekly Fashion Classes, or
- Join one of our Saturday Introduction to Fashion Workshops
In these sessions, students will learn how to safely use sewing tools and machines. They’ll begin to think like designers, brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, understanding basic garment construction, designing, and selecting fabric and pallet colors.

Upcycling - Kids Sewing Camp
This summer, invite your child to learn how creativity and sustainability go hand in hand through the art of upcycling. In this hands-on sewing camp, kids will transform used clothing and fabric remnants into functional, thoughtfully designed projects.
Throughout the camp, campers will develop foundational sewing skills, practice problem-solving, and learn how materials can be repurposed instead of discarded. Lessons will emphasize design planning, basic construction techniques, and the environmental importance of reducing textile waste. By the end of the week, students will leave with a collection of handmade upcycled items they created themselves.
Bring old clothes from home. Other materials will be provided.
Some sewing techniques they will learn:
- Sewing machine skills (stitching in straight lines, using different settings)
- Patchwork and appliqué
- Simple garment alterations
- Creating upcycled accessories (scrunchies, headbands)
- Adding embellishments (buttons, beads, ribbons)
- Sustainable sewing practices

Me & Doll - Sewing Camp
Calling all doll enthusiasts! This week, your camper will jump on an exciting journey of creativity and craftsmanship as they create garments for them and their dolls. Kids will start learning the safety guidelines of machine sewing, and basic sewing techniques. Then, they will select fabrics, trace patterns and add embellishments to customize every detail of their new creations.
Students will bring the fabric needed for creating their clothes. Fabric for other garments will be provided.
